Laurent Boileau started out as a cameraman and editor, and began directing documentaries in 1999. His passion for comics, and the more general graphic arts, eventually led to him directing several films about the 9th art: Les Artisans de l’imaginaire (France 3, 2004), Spirou, une renaissance (TLM, 2004), Franquin, Gaston et compagnie (France 5, RTBF, 2005), Les Chevaux de papier (Equidia, 2006), Sokal, l’art du beau (France 3, 2007), La Pologne de Marzi (TV Rennes 35, 2009).

Born in 1965 in Seoul, Jung was adopted by a Belgian family in 1971.
He is the author of several comic books and graphic novels: Couleur de peau : miel (2007, Quadrants), Frôlements (2009, Paquet), Kyoteru (2008, Delcourt), Kwaïdan (2001-2008, Delcourt), La Danseuse du temps (2005-2007, Dargaud), Okiya (2006, Delcourt), La Jeune Fille et le vent (1997-1999, Delcourt) and Yasuda (1991-1995, Hélyode).

Peter Lord is currently in production on Pirates! – a swashbuckling adventure and broad comedy based on The Pirates! in an Adventure with Scientists, from the bestselling series of books by Gideon Defoe.
The movie is being created with the same beautiful hand-crafted technique that Aardman brought to the feature films Wallace and Gromit in The Curse of the Were-Rabbit and Chicken Run.
Lord is a founding partner of Aardman, director of Chicken Run (with Nick Park), and a two-time Academy Award nominee for his short films at the company.

After his A-levels, Benjamin Renner followed an Art foundation course before joining the Fine Art School in Angoulême where he graduated with a National Diploma in Graphic Novels. He then spent two years at the animation directing school La Poudrière, where he directed Le corbeau voulant imiter l'aigle (commissioned film for Canal J), Le Plus Gros Président du monde and his graduation film, A Mouse's Tale.

Shinji Aramaki was born in Japan. He started out working in the organisation of animation and character creation, particularly for TV series such as Kikô sôseiki Mospeada (1983) and Wolf's Rain (2003).
He also directed Full Metal Alchimist in 2004 and worked on the Oscar nominated film Poseidon two years later.
More recently he has been working on diverse projects, including game trailers and 3D animation.

Leiji Matsumoto started his career at a very young age and includes such hits as the manga Otoko oidon, manga, the TV series and feature Uchû senkan Yamato and the science fiction manga adapted for the screen Galaxy Express 999.
Alongside his creative activities, he is also Executive Director of the Japan Cartoonists Association, where he looks after the copyrights department, is President of the Young Astronaut Club, and on the board of the Visual Arts University in Takarazuka.

Writer and composer, Mathias Malzieu abandoned his cinema studies in 1996 in order to devote himself to the band Dionysos, of which he is the lead singer. On set he is a volcano-man, filled with the spontaneity of a child.
He has directed music videos, Olivia Ruiz's albums La Femme chocolat and Miss Météores, and Cali's L’Espoir.
He has written a collection of short stories and three novels – one of which, The Boy with the Cuckoo-Clock Heart, published in 2007, is currently being adapted for the big screen.
