Annecy 2011 YouTube Contest

In 2011, 94 films were submitted for the YouTube competition.
The conditions were that they should deal with the theme ''animation, land of freedom'', and contain references to the 'International Animation Film Festival' and "Annecy 2011", as well as giving a nod to the USA, guest country for the 2011 edition.
Our three winners were selected by a jury made up of of Kevin Deters from Walt Disney Animation Studios, Elsa Keslassy from Variety, and Mathias Malzieu, director and leader of Dionysos.

First price

Peter Lowey (Australia) was invited to the International Festival of Animated Film in Annecy, from 6th - 11th June, where his film was screened. Disney studios also offered him a 5 night trip to Los Angeles for a guided tour of the studios in Burbank (California). He was also awarded a Cristal prize by the Festival.

Second price

Mathias Lachal (France) took home a license for the Autodesk animation software.

Third price

Georgina Dunn (UK) also won a license for the Autodesk animation software.
