The Festival: the world's top reference for animation films
Check out the latest animated gems, find out about current and future trends, meet up with your favourite film directors and up-and-coming talents, track down new associates and partners... in the fun and friendly atmosphere of the Annecy International Animation Film Festival.
There are 5 theatres in and around Annecy screening Festival films from 10am to 11pm. The programme includes films in the official selection and screenings which don't need to be reserved.
- Theatres in the town centre: Bonlieu (Grande salle and Petite salle), Décavision (theatres 1, 2, 3&4), Pierre Lamy theatre.
- Theatres close to the town centre: La Turbine at Cran-Gevrier and MJC Novel at Annecy
Each evening at 10:15pm, there is also a screening on the giant screen on the Pâquier lawn (opposite Bonlieu, free access).
The International Animation Film Market (Mifa)
Don't miss the animation industry's foremost showcase in terms of co-producing, purchasing, selling, financing and distributing animation content for all broadcasting platforms.
The Mifa is held in over 3,000 m2 of exhibition space and welcomes 450 international exhibitors.
Located at L'Impérial Palace, the exhibitors' market is open from 9 am to 7 pm with the visiting professionals' market open between 9.30 am and 7 pm.
The Conferences
Anticipate changes in the sector from artistic, economic and technical points of view and talk over the important changes and challenges affecting the industry in a varied programme of subjects.
Over 4 days, these conferences serve as a forum for information, reflection and exchanges, furthering an understanding of the issues and deliberating on suitable practices.
They are organised at the Chambre de métiers and at Mifa – Salon Verdi A&B.
The Creative Focus
The Creative Focus is an incubator for projects and a privileged exchange forum for animation professionals and the talents of tomorrow.
Located at the Mifa site, it takes place between the project area, the interview area for talent scouts and the Rotonde du Parc for Meetings.
