Call for Projects for short Malagasy animated films

Annecy and the Short Film Festival of Madagascar have teamed up once again to launch a Call for Projects of short Malagasy films.

8 short film projects were chosen to participate in the Mifa Madagascar Workshop, which was held during the Short Film Festival of Madagascar in Antananarivo in May.

During this workshop, Malagasy animators were guided in the development of the graphics and writing of their project.

The selected this year was Ridha Andriantomanga's project, Ho an’i Dada / Pour Papa, which you will be able to discover at today's Mifa Pitches, 3:00 pm, Impérial Palace.

Check out the list of projects presented at the Short Film Festival

Take a break at the Festival Bar

Stop off at the Festival Bar for a drink or a quick snack.

Situated in the ground of the haras, the Festival Bar team will be at hand every day from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm and 9:00 pm to 1:00 in the morning (Saturday 14/06, closing early at 8:00 pm), to offer you a moment to relax with a drink or a snack.

For volunteers and badgeholders, the Bar is the Festival hub and the place to meet up, chat and take a break between screenings.

Please note that the Bar becomes private each evening between 6:30 and 8:30 for the Partners' Club (invitation required).

HIGHLIGHTS

"L’Étrange Pouvoir de Norman / Paranorman" - 2012 Laika Inc. / Focus Features

Open-Air Screening of "ParaNorman"

11 June (10:15 pm - 11:40 pm)

Going to see Sam Fell and Chris Butler's film is a question of life or death!

Norman seems just like any other young kid... except he can see and talk to the dead!

By taking us into this macabre world, yet by no means devoid of humour, the film out of LAIKA studios talks about our fears and is aimed at both young and old alike. This little stop-motion gem will be presented by members of LAIKA studio, who have a little surprise in store for you!
