01- What is Mifa?

Mifa is the International Animation Film Market and is the biggest event in the world reserved for the animation industry and its related sectors. It is held every year in June in Annecy (France) alongside the International Animation Film Festival. It brings together all the industry's players in animation programming for TV, movies, video, VOD, the internet and mobile phones.

02- Who can take part in the Market?

Mifa is open to all professionals in animation and its related sectors, including players in animation programming for TV, movies, video, VOD, the internet and mobile phones.

"Mifa + Conferences + Festival" accreditation will be required to attend the Market. Those holding a "Festival" or "Conferences + Festival" accreditation will not be able to access the whole of the Market.

03- How is the Market organised?

The Market will be divided between the Centre de Congrès de L'Impérial Palace and a covered marquee beside the lake. The two areas will be connected by a sheltered walkway.

The Centre de Congrès de L'Impérial Palace will host the New Technologies and Training Institute areas as well as the hospitality area and the press office. The digital video-library will be available in rooms on the 3rd and 4th floors. Several events, both public and private, will also be taking place in the Centre de Congrès.

The marquee meanwhile will house the Institutional and MEDIA 2007-2013 areas, the Stands and pavilions, as well as the Chill Out area.

The Creative Focus will also be held at the Centre de Congrès de L'Impérial Palace.

04- When and where will Mifa 2010 take place?

Mifa 2010 will take place at Centre de Congrès de L'Impérial Palace in Annecy (France) from Wednesday 9th to Friday 11th June inclusive. The digital video-library will be accessible from 8th June.

05- How can I get Mifa accreditation?

To get Mifa accreditation as an attendee, either download and complete the paper form or fill in the online form (available from mid-February).
Then purchase your accreditation by bank transfer, cheque or credit/debit card (for online accreditations only).
You will be sent confirmation once your accreditation has been approved.

06- What is the deadline for getting Mifa accreditation?

Accreditations are available from January 1st to 20th May 2010. Those purchasing their accreditation before 28th February will benefit from a preferential rate. It is also possible to purchase accreditation on the spot, albeit at an increased rate.

07- What can I access with my Mifa accreditation?

Mifa accreditation allows access to all Mifa areas, the Creative Focus, conferences as well as all the Festival expos and screenings.

It also includes all the different publications, access to the Annecy network, the registration of a production or project in the digital video-library and an entry in Le guide Mifa.

08- I have already bought accreditation but I need to cancel. How do I do it?

Cancellation requests should be sent, before 30th April, to Laurence Thibault and should include your first name(s), surname, and receipt number.
You will receive a refund of 90 % of the amount paid (less 10% for administration fees), once the event has finished.
No refunds will be available after 30th April.

09- What types of stands can I reserve at Mifa?

From the MEDIA 2007-2013 mini-stands to pavilions containing several companies, there is a stand available for all your needs.

10- How can I reserve a stand at Mifa?

To reserve a stand of 4 or 9 m², go to the "Reserve a stand" page and return the form to us.
For any other surface area, contact Véronique Encrenaz directly, who will deal with your request and propose a solution best adapted to your needs.

11- What are the conditions for having a stand at the MEDIA 2007-2013 area in the marquee?

This area is reserved exclusively for small European companies. The contract includes a personalised mini-stand, two "Mifa + Conferences + Festival" accreditations and the possibility to register two films at the digital video-library.

There are a limited number of mini-stands.
The organisers reserve the right to interpret however they wish the concept of small company.

12- What are the conditions for having a stand at the MEDIA 2007-2013 New Technologies?

This area is reserved exclusively to small European companies working in the new technologies sector.
The organisers reserve the right to interpret however they wish the concept of a small company.
The contract includes a personalised mini-stand and two "Mifa + Conferences + Festival" accreditations.

13- Will I be able to find buyers for my content at Mifa?

Yes, absolutely.

Mifa welcomes more and more buyers and distributors of content with every year, and everything is channeled into giving projects as much exposure as possible.

Each delegate also has the opportunity to register a production at the digital video library, where buyers can watch all the available films.

14- Can I recruit new talent during Mifa?

Yes of course!

Recruitment sessions are scheduled for the whole week at the Creative Focus. For more information, contact Monica Corbani.

15- Can I attend conferences with my Mifa accreditation?

Of course!

Your Mifa accreditation entitles you to attend all the conferences at the Chambre de métiers, Bonlieu as well as at the Centre de Congrès de L'Impérial Palace.

16- Can I organise promotional or communication events during Mifa?

The International Animation Film Market is the ideal place to promote your company or launch your new project.
In addition to traditional communication mediums (publications, posters, web etc.), the Mifa team can also help organise promotional or incentive events during your stay in Annecy. A range of options are open to you: cocktail events, breakfasts, press conferences...

17- How do I organise meetings during Mifa?

The Annecy network is the indepensable tool for organising your visit to Mifa. Before your visit, it enables you to identify attendees you would like to meet, thanks to a multi-criteria search function, contact them via an inbox and organise meetings using the online diary.

18- What are the Market's opening hours?

Mifa is open to attendees every day between 9.30 am and 7 pm. Stand-holders can access their stands from 9 am.

19- Where can I collect my Mifa badge?

Your badge will be available at the Mifa hospitality area (Centre de Congrès de L'Impérial Palace) from 2 pm on Sunday 6th June.
It won't be possible to collect your badge from the Bonlieu welcome area.
