Winners of the Animation! Pitching Sessions 

This year, for the first time, the Ventana Sur market held a pitch session for animation projects following a call for projects across Latin America.

As part of the Animation du Monde project, Mifa was associated with these sessions and had two representatives on the jury to choose the winners for the market’s first venture into animation.

Congratulations to the finalists, who are now invited to take part in the Animation du Monde Pitch sessions at Mifa 2017:

• Joan Manuel Millán and Manuel Victoria for Len and the Song of the Wales, feature category (Colombia)
• Daniel Jácome Muñoz for Chakay, Master of Two Worlds, TV series category (Ecuador)

Considering the quality of the projects, the jury awarded special distinctions to three projects and accreditation to Mifa 2017 for the lucky recipients:

• Special Distinction for the best pitch to the project Mandinga (Argentina), TV series category
• Special Distinction in the feature category for the project The Metamorph (Chile)
• Special Distinction in the TV series category for the project Ioguis (Argentina)
