  The Zagreb Animafest rewards Marcel Jean 

The Zagreb international animation festival is honouring Marcel Jean with an award for his contribution to animation studies.


Marcel Jean has been chosen by the Zagreb Animafest to receive a Lifetime Achievement Award and is honouring him with the Award for Outstanding Contribution to Animation Studies.


Marcel Jean, film critic, writer, teacher in the history and aesthetics of animation at the University of Montreal and Artistic Director of the Annecy Festival, will receive his prize during the opening ceremony of the Animafest festival, on 3rd June 2014.


This international festival of independent animation is the second oldest in the world, just behind Annecy, and will take place from 3rd to 8th June in Croatia.
