A white mouse, constantly chased by a cat, finds shelter in a laboratory. There it is quickly outfitted and transformed into an astronaut to be shot through space. The little mouse returns victoriously to earth, a famous hero. But life goes on, new space travellers embark and return, and the white mouse is forgotten...
