There are different sorts of pies in the world, cow pies and mincemeat pies, to name but two. Here we discover a new and secret recipe. Through the meeting of Mrs Cherwak, who is Polish, and owns a cow and Mrs Meuser, a German hausfrau with strict notions of cleanliness who does not appreciate what the cow leaves behind.
