    Independent animator and filmmaker Juan Pablo Zaramella developed a passion for drawing early on and published his first drawings at 17. After studies at the Film Institute of Avellaneda (IDAC), he began his career directing, writing and animating his short films, which regularly win prizes. "The Challenge to Death" (2002) and "Lapsus" (2007) were in competition in Annecy, and "Luminaris" won the Audience and FIPRESCI Awards at Annecy 2011.
