    Born in 1977, David Coquard-Dassault graduated from the Émile Cohl School in Lyon in 2001 with a degree in Applied Arts, majoring in Illustration. His work as a graphic designer includes illustrated posters and publications for children, several of which have won prizes at book festivals in Italy and France. He designed the video game "Cassius Pearl" in 2005 and his first short "Rains" (2008) was selected at several international festivals, such as Ottawa, Sundance and Annecy.
