Meet the Festival Programmers
Launched in 2015 as a part of the Mifa's 30th anniversary celebrations, "Meet the Festival Programmers" incarnates the desire of film institute representatives attending the Mifa to get together with film programmers participating in the Festival.
This event was organised to promote the distribution of national productions from several emerging markets as well as animation hotspots and is set up like a speed dating session to maximise meeting opportunities between film institute representatives and festival programmers.
It promises to be even bigger this year with some 20 festivals and institutes already signed up. Along with participants from last year, Asian festivals and new institutes like New Zealand Film Commission or Telefilm Canada, (also attending with a stand at Mifa) have been added to the list.
