Come and live an experience in 360°! An Annecy Festival exclusive, three days dedicated to virtual reality have been organised. Pearl and Allumette are on the programme of the day!

With the increasing number of virtual reality projects being created using animation, the Annecy Festival decided to present a few for festivalgoers to enjoy.

Within this selection, you might recognise a few names like Felix Massie and Munro Ferguson.

For the first Virtual Reality & Animation session, Pearl and Allumette are on the programme.

Pearl is an animated short by Patrick Osborne, director of Feast, an Oscar-nominated Disney creation. This road movie tells the story of a little girl who grows up traveling on the road with her musician father.

To tell the story of Allumette, the Penrose studios invented a VR world with a floating city that resembles Venice. The script was loosely inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s tale The Little Match Girl.

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to live a mind-boggling experience that will take you somewhere between the worlds of film and video games.

The demonstrations will take place in the "salle de création" at Bonlieu, no reservation required, from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm.

Organised in partnership with Google VR and Google Spotlgiht Stories.
