  • Film identity

    Original title: Moonlight Storytime "Woolydragon"

Directed by: Kirsten LEPORE, Villamor CRUZ, JR

Kirsten Lepore is a director and animator based in LA, with an MFA from CalArts. Her films have taken top prizes at SXSW, Slamdance, the Stuttgart Animation festival, Florida Film Festival, Arizona Film Festival, the Vimeo Awards, the Annie Awards and many others. She's given presentations everywhere from Pixar to Portugal and has also been featured in "Juxtapoz", "Shots Magazine", "Animation Magazine", "Focus Features", and was named as one of the 50 most creative people by "Creativity" Magazine in 2011.

Villamor Cruz was born drawing. You could find him making up entire worlds with whatever objects he could find. A salt shaker became a robot. The table cloth became a vast desert. All the notepads and napkins in the house would be used up to store and record the stirrings of his mind. Despite his parents' wishes for him to become either a doctor or a priest, he has been able to make a living by simply drawing and playing.
