Orphaned sparrow Richard was lovingly raised by storks and is convinced that he is a stork himself. When his adoptive family migrates to Africa for the winter, they tell him the truth: a little sparrow isn't made for such a long trip. To prove he's a real stork, Richard sets out for Africa on his own, joined by an eccentric owl and a disco-singing parakeet.
