The Battle of Kerjenets

Inspired by Russian art of the Middle Ages (icons, miniatures, illuminations), it depicts a passage from Rimski Korsakov's opera "The Tale of the Invisible City of Kitej" and recounts the Tartar invasion and the heroic resistance of the Russian soldiers behind the Kerjenets walls.
