Throughout the week, you may have discovered some of the 'From Doodles to Pixels' Speical Programmes that were put together by Carolina López.

If you weren't able to catch them, take advantage of the last screening on Annecy 2015's guest country.

Come to Bonlieu Petite salle at 4:00 pm to see Destination Hollywood (and Beyond) which is made up of Spanish filmmakers' early films before they got recruited for big animation studios like Walt Disney Animation, Pixar, DreamWorks or Aardman.

Back to their roots to finish up this week dedicated to Spain!

Ladies will choose how the Festival ends

 

Women have been honoured all week long at the Festival and tonight, they will decide the Annecy 2015 award-winners!

Before the awards are announced, come and check out the last of the screenings of Special Programmes dedicated to Women and Animation:

You can also come and meet Regina Pessoa, the filmmaker who designed the 2015 poster, at 4:00 pm for her signing session at the Boutique du Festival @ bdfugue (Forum Bonlieu).

Learn about the members of the all-women juries who will be choosing the award-winning films tonight.

Cristal d'honneur - Honorary Cristal

The 2015 Honorary Cristal goes to...an animated lady!

 

Tonight during the Closing Ceremony, Florence Miailhe will receive her Honorary Cristal.

If you were wandering around Annecy this week, it's very likely that you crossed paths with this well-known animator.The Annecy Festival decided to give this year's Honorary Cristal to this filmmaker who has already earned numerous awards, including a César and a Special Mention from the Jury at Cannes.

Tonight, it's Annecy's turn to show its gratitude for her subtle work by presenting her with this Cristal. Check out her video interview with Festival Artistic Director, Marcel Jean.

Prologue - RICHARD WILLIAMS ANIMATION MASTERCLASS

Closing Ceremony

 

Tonight at the Annecy 2015 Closing Ceremony, the awards will be announced in the presence of the "Animator's Animator" Richard Willams, who will present his latest short film, Prologue.

Features, shorts, graduation films, TV series and specials and commissioned films: find out which filmmakers caught the juries' attention at Annecy 2015!

You can also discover which film won the Audience Award for a short and feature film.

Off-Limits Animation

In 2014, the Annecy Festival created a new competitive category: Off-Limits short films were added to the mix to explore innovation and experimentation in animation.

This year, you can come to a Shorts & Breakfast session dedicated to this category where you can learn about how these films were made and even ask the filmmakers questions if you'd like.

Last night at the Town Hall, the Special Prize Ceremony was held where shorts, features and Work in Progress films as well as music for film were awarded.

Free screenings for Annecy locals!

 

Following tradition, the Festival invites Annecy locals and festivalgoers who are still in the area to come and see free screenings on Sunday!

Ghost in the Shell ARISE - Shirow Masamune, PRODUCTION I.G, KODANSHA LTD. , GHOST IN THE SHELL: THE MOVIE COMMITTEE

Events for manga fans!

The film by Kazuchika Kize and Kazuya Nomura should please all Japanese animation fans since it's adapted fromt the famous manga Ghost in the Shell.

The year 2029, the Prime Minister gets assassinated and Motoko Kusanagi's former manager is one of the collateral victims. After assembling a team with Batō,Togusa and others, Kusanagi starts an investigation.

Ghost in the Shell: The Movie will shed light on the Ghost concept and the birth of agent Motoko Kusanagi, the heroine of the saga.

The Annecy Festival goes to Paris

 

For those of you who couldn't make it to Annecy, there will be a catch up screening at the Forum des images in Paris on the 1st and 2nd July.

Four sessions are proposed for the Parisian public who want to see the prizewinning films from Annecy 2015. The Agence du court métrage also puts together a selection of programmes.
