Freeze frame: the most absurd technique since the invention of the moving image. Through an elaborate process of duplicating the same image over and over again, it creates the illusion of stillness.

    Soetkin Verstegen graduated in Cultural Studies in Leuven, then earned a Master's degree in Audiovisual Arts and Screenwriting in Brussels. After her studies, she did a model making internship at Aardman and has since been working independently and doing freelance animation for TV and film studios. She specializes in stop-motion and is an expert puppeteer and set decorator. In 2015, she was granted the AniDox Residency at The Animation Workshop in Denmark.
