This year, the Annecy International Animation Film Festival has received over 2,800 films (short and feature films, TV and commissioned films and graduation films) from all over the world between November and March.
More than 200 films have been shortlisted to take part in the official selection.

Press Conferences

Feature Films in Competition Press Conferences

Every day, official selection feature films go under the microscope with a professional film journalist. The discussions are centred around topics like, artistic direction, graphic and technical choices and production distribution.

Students' Snack Time

When it's time for an afternoon snack, come along to meet and talk with the youngest filmmakers of the Festival, whose graduation films are in competition. You'll be getting up close to the talents of tomorrow!

Each year there are a number of free exhibitions during the Festival at La Turbine media library in Cran-Gevrier, the bibliothèque d'agglomération d'Annecy, Bonlieu and the Centre Courier.

The Festival and Beyond!

Come to extra screenings before and after the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, participate in workshops or come join conferences led by industry professionals.

Shorts & Breakfast

Shorts & Breakfast

A daily morning appointment, from 9:00 to 10:15 am, with the directors of short films in competition who are ready to talk about the genesis of their films, the development and their artistic and technical choices.

The public also gets a chance to ask questions.

Le Pâquier

Open-Air Screenings

The free open-air screenings take place on the Pâquier lawn every evening during Festival week.

During the Festival, other locations like the Musée-château, La Turbine, the Auditorium in Seynod and the Parc Vignières-Pommaries also offer other evening open-air screenings.

Signing Sessions

Meet your favorite artists in person thanks to the Festival's signing sessions.

All week long, take advantage of the signings in order to discover some big names in animation (writers, illustrators, filmmakers...) and leave with a personalised souvenir.
