This year, the Annecy International Animation Film Festival has received over 3,070 films (short and feature films, TV and commissioned films) from all over the world between November and March.
More than 200 films have been shortlisted to take part in the official selection.
These programmes are devised by the Festival Artistic Director in connection with the guest country and the programme of the upcoming Festival.
They cover everything the Festival wants to present that is not part of the official selection.
A daily morning appointment, from 9:00 to 10:15 am, with the directors of short films in competition who are ready to talk about the genesis of their films, the development and their artistic and technical choices.
The public also gets a chance to ask questions.
The Festival invites you to attend screening events, including sneak previews of shorts and features.
The free open-air screenings take place on the Pâquier lawn every evening during Festival week.
During the Festival, other locations like the Musée-château, La Turbine, the Auditorium in Seynod and the Parc Vignières-Pommaries also offer other evening open-air screenings.
Each year there are a number of free exhibitions during the Festival at La Turbine media library in Cran-Gevrier, at the Médiathèque Bonlieu – Annecy and the Centre Courier.
Come to extra screenings before and after the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, participate in workshops or come join conferences led by industry professionals.
Meet your favorite artists in person thanks to the Festival's signing sessions.
All week long, take advantage of the signings in order to discover some big names in animation (writers, illustrators, filmmakers...) and leave with a personalised souvenir.
Prolong the animation magic with the Festival Boutique @ bdfugue where various Festival products are available, or take advantage of our online boutique to find items from previous festivals.
