Annecy would like to welcome Akira Yamaguchi, founder of SUN BRIDGE Inc., as the new representative for the Festival and Mifa in Japan.
Her mission is to be the permanent link between Annecy and animation professionals in Japan, to help the presentation of films or projects at the Festival and to professionals at the Mifa.
Fascinated by media and the entertainment world, Akira Yamaguchi started out in 2000 working for the radio then post-production. In 2006, she joined Toei Animation Europe as Licensing & Production Manager, before moving to Canada as Head of Business Development.
In 2012, she founded SUN BRIDGE Inc., a consultancy to develop business development with the Japanese animation industry. SUN BRIDGE brings advice and expertise to the Quebec Film & Television Council, the Japan External Trade Organisation and Japanese, French, Canadian and American animation production companies.
Recently, Akira Yamaguchi has been concentrating her energies on the development of Toon Boom software in Japan, for Japanese and French Canadian public institutions and Japanese producers.
SUN BRIDGE Inc. was also part of the animation delegation in the commercial mission of the Ministry of Economy, Innovation and Export in 2014.
The Annecy Festival is delighted about this new collaboration and warmly welcomes Akira Yamaguchi, Canadian citizen since 2014 and Secretary of the Board at the Quebec-Japan Business Forum.
