New in 2016: WIP TV
For the first time, the Annecy Festival invites you to discover Work in Progress sessions dedicated to animated TV series!
The first TV series on the programme is American. We'll be giving you a sneak peek of the latest Genndy Tartakovsky creation: Samurai Jack! Other series to be revealed soon!
WIP Feature sessions
The traditional WIP Feature sessions, created in 2007 and dedicated to feature films that are still in production, will let you in on the early stages of making:
- Trolls: set for release in October 2016, this feature film from the creators of Shrek, Madagascar and Kung Fu Panda tells the story of those famous little dolls with fluorescent hair.
- Zombillenium: Arthur de Pins is at the origin of this dark comedy about an amusement park, Zombillenium, that doesn't just hire anyone: mere mortals need not apply!
- Japan will be in the house with In this Corner of the World, as well as Korea with The Shaman Sorceress.
The Keynote speeches are special moments to listen to the biggest names in animation. Coming this year:
- Anthony Roux from Ankama
- Peter Lord and David Sproxton from Aardman
A great opportunity to meet animation personalities who come to talk about their films, studios, genres and more.
This year, John Kricfalusi, aka John K, Canadian dubber, producer, cartoonist and creator of the TV series Ren and Stimpy, will be gracing us with his presence.
Don't wait, get your Meetings accreditation now so you can come to all these amazing sessions!
