Discover ANDIMATION, the program for developing animation projects exclusively originating from five Latin American countries.
ANDIMATION’s aim is to breathe fresh energy into the animation industry of Andean countries, by commingling various talents from the area’s sector. This three-tiered program is promoted by The Animation Workshop – VIA University College in Denmark, and backed by the Bolivian Simón I. Patiño foundation (Geneva), the La Paz (Bolivia) Danish Embassy and TIFA (Venezuela).
The first part, starting in October and lasting 3 months, involves 15 participants from 5 Latin American countries (Bolivia, Columbia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela) who will come together in Viborg (Denmark) to develop an animated series idea for youthful viewers. The candidates can be young film directors, art directors, script-writers or else incipient producers with a distinct entrepreneurial penchant.
In December 2016, during the second part, the teams will present their series’ designs before a jury of international professionals. Finally, during the third part from January to May 2017, the winning team will work in Bolivia to produce its pilot reel.
