After years of uninterrupted growth, the International Animation Film Market is continuing its development to adapt to the needs of professionals.
The Mifa, whose attendance has been on the rise for the past ten years, is taking on a new dimension to keep pace with its development and improve reception and exchange conditions for participants.
Three major changes for 2017:
- A longer event
Mifa 2017 will last for 4 full days, from Tuesday 13th to Friday 16th June. This way, delegates will have greater opportunities for business appointments and can also take advantage of the rich programme.
- A bigger area
In order to host the ever-increasing number of participants in the best conditions, the Mifa area will have a new floor of over 1,000 m² to accommodate the welcome area and space for public organisations and schools, as well as areas for technical service providers and major recruiting studios.
This reorganisation will also create a unifying space as the Conferences, previously held at the Chambre de métiers, will take up residence at the Impérial Palace with the Mifa.
- Mifa Campus
Consistent with a continuing commitment to incite contact between industry professionals and emerging talent, the 2017 Market will inaugurate the Mifa Campus. Dedicated mainly to students and young talent from emerging countries in animation, this space will offer workshops and presentations to encourage a greater understanding of the industry and the possibility to meet up with its well-known names.
Organised as a complement to the popular Recruitment sessions, the Mifa Campus confirms the Market’s position as the leading event for animation as well as a springboard and employment source for studios, by putting them in touch with the best profiles.
You can take advantage of these new fixtures from January when accreditation opens and from 13th to 16th June 2017 for the Mifa.
