Following the French-Thai Animation Appointments, Suporn Decharin has been chosen to take part in this year’s Mifa Pitch sessions with her project "Breakfast".
The Mifa teamed up with the World Film Festival of Bangkok with its Animation du Monde for the French-Thai Animation Appointments.
After a Call for Projects for short films launched all over Thailand, 6 animators were chosen to take part in the Animation du Monde Workshop from 23rd to 27th January in collaboration with the French Embassy in Thailand and the World Film Festival of Bangkok.
The project leaders were able to benefit from the experience of three experts, Corinne Destombes from Folimage, animator and illustrator Pierre-Luc Granjon and Mifa’s Géraldine Baché, who helped them through the construction of their scripts and storyboards and the preparation of their pitches.
The pitch session took place after this workshop and Suporn Decharin, with her short film project Breakfast, was declared the winner. Participants were also given certificates rewarding the enormous progress they made over this short but intensive week.
Suporn Decharin will be invited to present her project at the International Animation Film Market’s Animation du Monde pitch sessions, here in Annecy this June.
