Annecy reveals the first animation celebs confirmed to come and present during the 2017 Meetings cycle.
Keynote speakers, Masterclasses, Work in Progress, Making of and Studio Focus sessions… The Annecy Festival’s Meetings programme is full of exciting happenings. Once again, big names from the animation industry, creatives and studios will be coming to host these sessions.
As for the Keynote speeches, come and hear from Kristine Belson, President of Sony Pictures Animation and Eric Coleman, SVP Original Programming and General Manager at Disney Television Animation.
Annecy has booked a Masterclass with two multi-talented gentlemen, the filmmakers Chris Lavis and Maciek Szczerbowski who are also animators, sculptors, collagists, screenwriters, actors and artistic directors. The duo is successful in whatever they undertake, whether it’s their shorts, films, illustrations, music videos, ads or comics.
The Work in Progress sessions will take you behind the scenes of animation projects in the making, like the feature film The Breadwinner, directed by Nora Twomey and the TV series Ella, Oscar & Hoo, created by Michael Dudok de Wit.
Last but not least, during the Studio Focus sessions, Cartoon Network, Passion Pictures, The Foundry, Google, Ankama, Original Force and Pixar have already signed on to present at Annecy 2017.
