It was with great sadness that we have learned of the passing of Bernard Bosson, former Mayor of Annecy.
Bernard Bosson was deeply attached to the International Animation Film Festival. His father Charles Bosson presided over the Festival from its establishment in 1960 up until 1980, so he always followed the event’s evolution with great interest.
When he was deputy mayor, he was very involved in the event’s development and encouraged the creation of the Market in 1985. In 1997, he pushed for the event to become annual and promoted the CITIA project in 2006.
We will always remember the support he showed throughout his pubic life and his unwavering contribution to the importance that the Annecy Festival holds in the world today.
After retiring from politics, he still participated in the event and became a loyal visitor.
