  Live from the César for animation 

Find out the selection of animated shorts!

The selection of animated short films took place on the 18th October. To find out what they are, the Academy is organising a special morning screening at the Balzac cinema in Paris on 18th December 2010, open to the public on a first come first seated basis.

There will also be a César trophy for animated French and European features released during 2010.

All the films nominated for the César for best feature or short will be revealed at a nominees' press conference on Friday, 21st January 2011 and the ceremony will take place on 25th February 2011 at the Châtelet Theatre.

Here is the list of films running for the César 2011 for best animated short
  • Chienne d’histoire – Directed by Serge Avédikian (Sacrebleu Productions)
  • L’Homme à la Gordini – Directed by Jean-Christophe Lie (Prima Linéa Productions) – selected at Annecy 2009
  • La Femme-Squelette – Directed by Sarah Van Den Boom (Papy3D Productions) – selected at Annecy 2010
  • Logorama – Directed by François Alaux, Hervé de Crécy, Ludovic Houplain (Autour de Minuit) – selected at Annecy 2010
  • Love Patate – Directed by Gilles Cuvelier (Papy3D Productions) – selected at Annecy 2010
  • Matières à rêver – Directed by Florence Miailhe (Paraiso Production Diffusion)
  • Mémoire fossile – Directed by Anne-Laure Totaro, Arnaud Demuynck (Les Films du Nord) – selected at Annecy 2010
