  Shoot the Book Anim’

This year, the Mifa will host the inaugural Shoot the Book Anim’, thanks to a partnership established with the SCELF.

The SCELF (Société Civile des Éditeurs de Langue Française) launched Shoot the Book! several years ago as a way of promoting audiovisual adaptations of French editorial work to international producers.

This year, the Annecy International Animation Film Market has joined forces with the SCELF to organise Shoot the Book Anim’ for the first time and put in the limelight books that can be adapted into animated films. This session will allow authors to pitch their works to an audience of professionals in the animation industry.

There have been many submissions of projects for the inaugural Shoot the Book Anim’. In total, we received 54 projects and they will be examined by an international jury. The results of the selection will be announced in Cannes on 16th May 2018.

The Shoot the Book Anim’ session will then take place at the Mifa, on Wednesday 13th June at 2:00 pm and will be followed by a cocktail reception and a B2B meeting from 4:00 pm.
