Animation du Monde Mifa 2019 

The Animation du Monde, started up in 2015 within the Annecy International Animation Film Market (Mifa) Pitch sessions, continues its project support.

What is its aim? To identify and spotlight creativity and potential project authors of animation from emerging countries and support them by giving them a chance to find suitable partners in Annecy. Following the call for projects, workshops and Pitch sessions carried out on-site in the countries concerned, the most promising projects are selected and their authors are invited to come and present them to professionals during the Animation du Monde Mifa Pitches, in Annecy in June.

On the program this year:

- Animation du Monde in Armenia
A delegation of animation professionals will go to Armenia for the Festival ReAnimania, from 28^th October to 2^nd November.

- Animation du Monde in Africa
Following a partnership with the African Animation Network, several calls for projects were launched for the various DISCOP markets and African DISCOMICS, in this way radiating across the entire continent. The final stage will take place at the Johannesburg DISCOP, from 14^th to 16^th November, in the presence of animation professionals.

- Animation du Monde in South East Asia (Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines and Singapore)
A call for projects was launched in Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines and Singapore during the Kre8tif, and in partnership with the Institut Français and MDEC. A workshop mentored by animation experts will take place in Manilla from 18^th to 22^nd February to support the selected projects.

With all these different territories represented, the Animation du Monde Mifa Pitches once again promise to take the badgeholders on an exquisite voyage during the Pitch sessions in Annecy in June!
