  Check out the official selection of feature films 

The official selection of feature films in and out of competition for the Annecy Festival 2014 has been unveiled.


68 feature films were subjected to the scrutiny of Marcel Jean (Artistic Director of the Annecy Festival) and his team in the Films & Programming department. In the end, 9 of them were selected for competition and 9 others for out of competition.


There is a strong Brazilian presence this year, with one feature in competition and two more out of competition. There are also a number of hybrid productions, mixing animation and live action.


The 9 feature films chosen for competition are :

  • Minuscule – Valley of the Lost Ants by Thomas Szabo and Hélène Giraud (France)
  • Cheatin' by Bill Plympton (USA)
  • Lisa Limone and Maroc Orange: A Rapid Love Story by Mait Laas (Estonia, Finland)
  • The Fake by Sang-ho Yeon (South Korea)
  • Last Hijack by Femke Wolting and Tommy Pallotta (Germany, Belgium, Ireland, the Netherlands)
  • Giovanni's Island by Mizuho Nishikubo (Japan)
  • The Boy and the World by Alê Abreu (Brazil)
  • Asphalt Watches by Shayne Ehman and Seth Scriver (Canada)
  • The Art of Happiness by Alessandro Rak (Italy)
