    Born in Latvia in 1970, Vladimir Leschiov graduated from the J. Rosenthal School of Fine Arts and studied Animation at the University College of Arts in Stockholm. He works as an illustrator, designer and director, and has made several award-winning films, such as "Insomnia" (2004), "Lost in Snow" (2007), "Wings and Oars" (selected at Annecy 2009), "Villa Antropoff" (nominated for a 2012 European Film Award) and "Rainy Days" (selected at Annecy 2014). He founded the Lunohod Animation Studio in 2007.
