Begone Bell Care

Spectacles Partnership and incorporating the following Normand McLaren film extract of "Begone Dull Care" in 1949.
"Begone Dull Care" has a credit "Painting by Norman McLaren and Evelyn Lambart". Koji reproduce as same collaboration like McLaren and Evelyn Lambart to paint together with his wife, Sanae who is a co founder of Yamamura Animation, Inc. and an abstract painter, too. "Begone Dull Care" painted on 35 mm film directly. This film is drawin freely in long roll paper for the ticket vending machine and it is edit the music cutting like the McLaren and it is became a visual music by painted on paper.
Using two tracks from early McLaren works : "Christmas Cracker" and "Mail Early for Christmas". It celebrate the birth of Norman McLaren by Christmas music, a bell melody and organ hymn.

    Original title: Begone Bell Care

    Directed by: Koji YAMAMURA

    Born in Japan in 1964, Koji Yamamura graduated from Tokyo Zokei University in 1987 and founded Yamamura Animation, Inc. in 1993. His 2002 short "Mt. Head" was nominated for an Oscar and scored 6 Grand Prix at festivals, including Annecy, Zagreb and Hiroshima. In 2007, his film "Franz Kafka's A Country Doctor" won the Grand Prix in Ottawa. He has also illustrated several children's books, is a sub-chairman for the Japan Animation Association and teaches at Tokyo University of the Arts.
