Feature Film Out of Competition 9: Gamba

Gamba, a town mouse with a brave spirit decides to go on an adventure to discover the ocean. On his way, he meets a troubled child mouse, Chuta. He says his family and other mice on a nearby island have been killed by a clan of weasels, led by the terrifying Noroi. Gamba promises to save the island, his family and the other mice. He and his friends team up to defeat the evil Noroi and his clan.

    Tomohiro Kawamura was born in 1970 and joined Shirogumi Inc. in 1991. He has been involved in the production of various video games as lead animator, CG designer and sequence director and was rewarded with the Excellence Award in the 3DCG Animation Division of the 11th Japan Media Arts Festival. This is his directorial debut on an animated feature.

    Yoshihiro Komori was born in 1980 and joined Shirogumi Inc. in 2000 as a VFX designer. He has worked on several video games, mainly in character development, and was animation supervisor and CG directior on "Rule of Rose" (2006).

    Yoichi Ogawa was born in 1955 and joined Shirogumi Inc. in 1980. He has had a long and varied career working in cel and CG animation and VFX for video games, TV, feature films and the web.
