Annecy Classics: Johnny Corncob
Hungary, 1973. Director Marcell Janckovics creates the first Hungarian feature-length animated film, János Vitéz (Johnny Corncob). Although the narrative starts out by following a young man torn from his loved ones as he embarks on an adventure in a world at war, this foundational work takes a unique turn towards a fantasy-world filled with color and poetry.
