The Future of Animation: Combining Viewpoints

Based on her experience at STUDIOCANAL, Françoise Guyonnet will talk about the place animation holds in Europe, the development of a new film genre that is a cross between animation and live action, adapting brands or famous characters into feature films and guiding original creations through brand content.

Producer and Consultant, Jinko Gotoh has over 15 animated features under her belt, including The Little Prince. There have been a lot of changes over the past 50 years and animation is now an exploding global industry. Now is the time to empower all the untapped talent, especially women.

The third perspective comes from the CEO of The Jim Henson Company, Lisa Henson, daughter of Jim, creator of The Muppet Show.

Tuesday 16th June, 6:15 pm, Bonlieu Petite salle

Work in Progress

The Peanuts Movie

The Peanuts Movie

Snoopy, Charlie Brown, Lucy, Linus and the rest of the beloved Peanuts gang are making their big-screen debut, in 3D. Discover the famous characters created by Charles M. Schulz like they've never been seen before, through animation orchestrated by Blue Sky Studios. The creators of Ice Age have brought the world's most lovable beagle to life by sending him into the skies to pursue his arch-nemesis the Red Baron. His best pal, Charlie Brown, also begins his own adventure: becoming a winner and finally having his moment of glory in front of his pals.

Meet up with the film's Director Steve Martino and Artistic Director Nash Dunnigan on Tuesday at 4:00 pm for a signing session (Festival Boutique @ bdfugue), at a Work in Progress session, Wednesday at 9:30 am at salle Pierre Lamy, and during the day on Wednesday for interviews.
