Misfortune befalls two girls and they are separated from their families. Lost with no place to go, they come across a strange old lady who welcomes them into her home. The house's proximity to the sea, and the opportunity to start afresh, slowly breathe new life into the girls. Then, one day, mysterious beings start showing up.
