After a stingy man eats some cherry seeds, a cherry tree grows on his head and he gets into a lot of trouble. A modern interpretation of the traditional Japanese Rakugo story of the same name.

    Original title: Atama Yama

    Directed by: Koji YAMAMURA

    Born in Japan in 1964, Koji Yamamura graduated from Tokyo Zokei University in 1987 and founded Yamamura Animation, Inc. in 1993. His 2002 short "Mt. Head" was nominated for an Oscar and scored 6 Grand Prix at festivals, including Annecy, Zagreb and Hiroshima. In 2007, his film "Franz Kafka's A Country Doctor" won the Grand Prix in Ottawa. He has also illustrated several children's books, is a sub-chairman for the Japan Animation Association and teaches at Tokyo University of the Arts.
