On France's western front during WWI, two New Zealand soldiers are trapped behind enemy lines. They find a baby in a muddy ditch, under its dead parents. One of the men wants to save it, the other does not.

    Born in New Zealand in 1973, James Cunningham is a filmmaker and Senior Lecturer at Media Design School, the premier animation and VFX school in New Zealand, where he produces and directs short films with his students. Prior to that he was Head of 3D at Digital Post and was a technical director at Weta Digital for "The Lord of the Rings". He has directed ten award-winning short films that have competed at Cannes, Sundance and Telluride. He is currently based in Auckland.
