What happens when Gore Verbinski gets his hands on a crazy chameleon suffering from an identity crisis, and parachutes him to the Mojave desert?
Rango, a chameleon-actor, finds himself left to his own devices one day in the Wild West. He lets his imagination run free, and talks himself into taking the most attractive path in life. He becomes, almost inadvertently, the sheriff of Dirt, and must assume new responsibilities and face ruthless outlaws, such as Bad Bill and Battlesnake Jake!
A dark mystery concerning water thieves leads our slightly deranged hero to make some embarrassing discoveries...
