  Born in Kirishi, Russia, in 1968, Oleg Uzhinov studied Animation at Pilot Studio while also contributing there as an in-betweener, animator and later as director of his own short "A Bad Boy", selected in competition at Annecy 2004. He was back in competition again in 2010 as creator and director of the popular TV series "Masha and the Bear" produced at the Moscow-based studio Animaccord.
