En sortant de l'école, whose name echoes Jacques Prévert’s famous poem, is a series of short films directed by up-and-coming French animation talents, with each season paying tribute to a poet and their poems, with fun and fancy.
This year as part of the Annecy International Animation Film Festival this creativity crystallized into an exhibit at the Médiathèque Bonlieu, 8th to 15th June 2024.
The show is composed of original film-sourced materials (sets, animation sheets, characters, etc.) plus elements created during the research phase (storyboards, sketches, drawing pads, and more) exploring the relationship between words and pictures in adapting poetry to the screen.
