Come and meet Gilles Paris, author of the book which was adapted into the multi-award-winning film My Life As a Zucchini.

My Life As a Zucchini, directed by Claude Barras, was a favourite for many festivalgoers and juries. Most notably it won the Cristal for a Feature Film at Annecy 2016. Gilles Paris’ autobiographical novel tackles the painful issue of foster care, through the eyes of a child forced to grow up in an adults' world. The result is a real ray of sunshine with sensitivity, mischief and tenderness.

A journalist and subsequently a writer, Gilles Paris has light and fluid penmanship, whose touching realism will touch your consciousness. Find out more about the author
