Meet Dounia, a child forced to leave her home.

After directing the 10-episode animated series Dounia released in 2020, Marya Zarif and André Kadi present the feature film Dounia et la Princesse d’Alep at the Annecy Festival. In 2021, Marya Zarif also created the illustrated comic book Dounia published by Bayard Canada.

A touching tale about a child forced to leave her home to find a new house with her grandparents. Sensitively and intelligently tackled, and interwoven with incidents linked to fleeing a war-torn country alongside here loved ones.
