At the 2022 edition, Michel Ocelot presented his latest film, The Black Pharaoh, the Savage and the Princess as a Screening Event! The director of Kirikou and Azur & Asmar: The Prince’s Quest also received an Honorary Cristal for lifetime achievement.

The director returns to his favourite narrative style and format in this film, a composition of several short stories, and creates a true masterpiece reflecting the legacy of his work.
