The Pinscreen

  1. Overview
  2. Description

A presentation of this animation technique from the '30s and still used today will be held in the historical setting of the Musée-Château courtyard.

Conceived by filmmakers Alexandre Alexeieff and Claire Parker, the pinscreen is a fascinating object made up of 240,000 holes and just as many pins, which opened the door to an uncommon creative technique since adopted by Jacques Drouin and Michèle Lemieux.

During the Animated Screens sessions, the Musée-Château will present a selection of films by the four artists.
