Meet Whizzy, an impatient little mouse, exploring animal paradise!

A true ode to friendship, with pertinence and sensibility Even Mice Belong in Heaven broaches life’s great philosophical questions, and adapts it all for a young audience.

Synopsis: After an unfortunate accident, Whizzy, a young mouse with a strong character, and Whitebelly, a rather withdrawn fox, meet in animal heaven. In this parallel world, they must lose their natural instincts and follow a path to a new life. Along this adventure that is full of surprises, they become best friends.

This tale, adapted from the book by Iva Procházková, perpetuates the great Czech stop-motion tradition, so dear to directors Denisa Grimmová and Jan Bubeníček. The film required 80 different settings to be made and around a hundred marionettes.

A dreamlike tale brimming with animals, humour, and poetry, see the premiere at Annecy!

Attend film premieres during the Festival thanks to the Annecy s’anime screenings, intended especially for the general public! They are accessible with your accreditation, or with single admission tickets available on-site or online on the Cinéma Novel website.
