  Hugo Covarrubias is a Chilean filmmaker who specialises in stop-motion for film, TV and the stage. He was the Animation Director for "Maleza", the first theatre play in Chile to mix live actors and stop-motion on the stage. He has directed the shorts "The Feathers Pillow" and "The Night Face Up" (Chile's first stereoscopic-3D film). He has also been the Animation Director for the series "The Ogre & the Chicken" and "Horacio & the Plasticines".
