After School – Guillaume Apollinaire

  1. Overview
  2. Description

An exhibition retraces 14 young filmmakers’ screen adaptations of 13 poems.

After the first two "After School" specials with poems by Jacques Prévert and Robert Desnon, 14 young filmmakers fresh out of French animation schools have let their creativity run wild with poems by Guillaume Apollinaire.

At the exhibition, you can find preliminary drawings and research materials that led to the creation of 13 animated shorts inspired by Apollinaire’s poems.

These 13 films that show off the association between animation and poetry make up the 3rd season of the first and only kids’ series that brings these two art forms together.

So come along and discover 13 original graphic styles that are all based on one author’s work in an unforgettable setting.
