Anthony Roux on Ankama and Transmedia

Anthony Roux will talk about the recent release of the feature DOFUS Book 1: Julith and the project's transmedia strategy: exclusive links and content in the DOFUS online game, publication of a comic book and art book, a board game and various partnerships. Marketing is outweighed by creativity at Ankama!
He will also highlight the difficulty in writing for a product that had to open up to the general public without betraying its long-standing fans.
Anthony Roux has been working in the entertainment business for the past fifteen years as a screenwriter, filmmaker and game designer. He founded Ankama in 2001 with Camille Chafer and Emmanuel Darras. The company, based in Roubaix, has gone on to become hugely successful, thanks in part to its flagship product, the game "DOFUS" that has led to many other projects and departments for animation, publishing, video games and collectibles.
